Running Accomplishments:

I have been running for 3 years now. My parents are the ones who got me into running. My first year I ran Top of Utah and St. George Marathon. Both of which were just over 4 hrs. Last year at St. George I was on for a 3:50 but my body fell apart, I ended up waking up in an ambulance at mile 23. I sure hope this year is better.

Hobble Creek half 06- 1:47:19

Art city days 5k- 23:55

Short-Term Running Goals:

I want a 3:45 this year at St. George- even though finishing would be much better than last year

Long-Term Running Goals:

I would like to get faster and one day do an Iron Man.

Personal:

I married the love of my life. I am currently in the Nursing program at SLCC, I will be graduating this December, Yeah!! When I am not at school I work for a sports medicine Dr as a medical assistant. My schedule is pretty crazy and I will have to be doing quite a few of my runs in the afternoon or at night after a long day of school and work. I am hoping that this blog will make me more accountable for my runs and help me to get them in.

Well I finally did it. Sub 4 hrs and no ambulance ride, it was a great day!! I would have really loved a 3:50 but I didn't and I am okay with it. I was glad to run with my mom and dad. (My dad is the reason I finally got under the 4hr mark, he stayed with me the entire time and didnt let me slack at the end, this was the first one that I was actually passing people, instead of being passed by a ton of people) We started out at a really conservative pace 1-9:43 2-9:36 3-8:55 4-8:27 5-8:49 6-8:23 7-8:27 8-10:13 (veyo) 9-9:31 10-9:30 11-10:03 (these were the worst miles for me, it started raining/hailing really hard and there was a ton of head wind-I was getting sick of the rain and being freezing cold) 12-9:28 13-9:01 14-9:14 15-8:35 16-8:22 17-8:47 18-10:00 (with a potty break) 19-9:32 20-8:50 21-8:30 22-8:48 23-8:41 24-8:40 25-8:49 26-9:09 .2-2:00

The best part was finishing and then getting to see Brandon-who had finished way ahead of me. He did Awesome!!! I am so excited for him.

The worst part was my hair- I really thought I was going to have to chop it. Some how it got all knotted up- it was a complete mess. It took me and my aunt 2.5 hrs to comb through it!!! OUCH!

I was so happy to see you at the finish standing on two feet and smiling. Great job on the race and I am glad you where able to get the mess out of your hair. I knew it would be hard because I have had to do that many times.

Congratulations! Way to go. Sub 4. Next time you will get your sub 3:45, when the weather is better!

Again, congratulations!

Congrats on a great performance on an ultimate Bad Hair Day! In decent weather I think you would have probably seen the sub-3:50 with this effort. So glad to you hear you didn't need an ambulance ride.

Also thanks for all the help you gave Kim beforehand to help her finish the race. And give your Dad and Mom a big congrats from us as well.

Great job Felicia! Having a bad hair day is much better than a trip to the ER! I'm glad you and Brandon both had a great day! What a cool experience to run this race with your parents! Tell them hi and congrats!

And like Tom said....Thank you so much for the help you gave me! There is no way I would have made it to the finish line this year without your help and Dr. Pratte's help!

Contgrat on a finish! I see you out running this winter sometime. I keep telling Jamie to hurry up and get back to running. We'll see how soon I can convince her. Good Job!
